25th October 2010, The Department of Air Bases and Maritime from The Ministry of Work Malaysia steps foot in Dura Technology Sdn. Bhd. Ipoh. The 40 participants that consists of engineers and technical assistants were brought to a product and material demonstration in the plant. They arrived in Ipoh late morning and then were treated to a sumptuous buffet lunch before heading to the plant in Chemor.

As most of the engineers had already attended a talk by Dr. Voo Yen Lei on Ultra-High Performance ‘ductile’ concrete (UHPdC) earlier in July this year in their Ministry of Works Building, they had known of Dura® UHPdC. Once they arrived at the plant, they were given a brief talk on Dura® to refresh their memory and hence proceed to the demonstration of the casting of the Dura® WP35/30 Wall Panel. This wall panel is able to serve as an aesthetic wall panel, acoustic barrier, protective panel against blast and impact loading and many other more applications. The participants were amazed as with the functionality of this panel it only measures up 30 mm in thickness. Participants were also shown the ability and the superior characteristics of UHPdC through many other more demonstration such as the bending test, and the full-scale beam test. The half day demonstration ended with light refreshments over conversations and Q & A at 4.30pm.
