Elastic Modulus & Poisson’s Ratio (BS 1881: Part 121: 1983)
Figure 1 shows the frequency distribution of the elasticity modulus (   ) of the standard UHPdC specimens. The    values were determined according to BS1881: Part 121 (1983) using cylinder specimen with 100 mm diameter and 200 mm height under force control rate of 20 MPa/min. The strains were capture using electrical strain gauges. The tested UHPdC shows to have average   values     of about 45 GPa and standard deviation of 1.45 GPa. The Poisson’s ratio also determine to be between 0.18 to 0.2.
